The Renewing Family Strengths program was created by Therapeutic Family Life with the objective of helping more children and their families cope with mental health issues and improve the lives of children suffering from the negative effects of trauma.

Qualified Mental Health Professionals at Renewing Family Strengths are trained extensively and utilize Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), which is a therapeutic model that trains caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for at-risk children. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

The services that are available through Renewing Family Strengths are free of charge for children enrolled in Medicaid and include:

WrapAround Program draws upon the strengths and resources of a committed group of family, friends, professionals, and community members. Using talents and knowledge from these sources, an individualized plan of care can be created that best suits the family’s needs.

Nurturing Parenting Program centers around the family to teach trauma informed child-rearing practices as an alternative to commonly used disciplinary practices. to be

Seeking Safety is a counseling model used to help people suffering from substance abuse, PTSD and other trauma related mental health issues, reduce their symptoms and regain the safety needed for a family.

Aggression Replacement Training seeks to alter the behavior of chronically aggressive youth by teaching them a wide range of prosocial behaviors, anger control methods and moral reasoning skills.

Defiant Child and Teen Program helps provide caregivers with the tools necessary in understand their child or teen’s noncompliant, socially hostile or oppositional behavior at home or school and ways to eliminate it.

Preparing Adolescents for Young Adulthood helps adolescents suffering from disability, behavioral issues, or mental health related diseases navigate the already difficult transition from childhood to adulthood.
